Deciding between a water softener or reverse osmosis system is a big decision. How do you choose?
A water softener works by removing minerals that cause hard water and then passes softened water into your home. Soft water is easier on your hair, skin, nails, clothes, faucets, and appliances. So, when you wash your dishes, clothes, or yourself, you’ll discover a more refreshing clean all around.
A reverse osmosis system is a point-of-use-system (treats water at the source; typically installed under the sink) that filters water down to the molecular level. This process removes contaminants and creates water so pure you might think it came from a bottle!
In either case, each water treatment system will bring you the benefits of cleaner, healthier water. However, if you already have water softeners, then you don’t need a reverse osmosis system—although we strongly recommend using both!
